I am six months pregnant with my first child and am thoroughly confused. My mother and other older people have been telling me that in their day a strict routine was carried out with babies but this had now been disproved.
However, I have now heard of a book by Gina Ford, who is apparently one of the world's top maternity nurses and has looked after more than 300 births, in which she claims she has never failed to get her babies sleeping through the night within weeks - without a fight - none has ever had colic, hardly ever cry and eat and sleep well.
Her success is apparently due to a strict routine for walking, napping, playing and feeding. Of course, I would love this, but have any other mums tried it with any success? I am desperate to know which way to go.
